Black-Eared Shrike-Babbler (Pteruthius melanotis)

The Black-eared Shrike-babbler (Pteruthius melanotis) is a bird species traditionally considered an aberrant Old World babbler and placed in the familyTimaliidae.
It is found in BhutanChinaIndiaLaosMalaysiaMyanmarNepalThailand, and Vietnam.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane

  4. This is definitely not a shrike-babbler, from the bill and brow.. but the juvy of the scarce Yellow-browed warbler. At aptil this guys are staying rather late and should be on their way north.
