Raffles's Malkoha (Rhinortha chlorophaea) - male

Raffles's Malkoha (Rhinortha chlorophaea) is a species of cuckoo (family Cuculidae).

It might not even be very closely related to the true malkohas, but form a very basal lineage of cuckoos; in any case, its placement in a monotypic genusRhinortha is well warranted.

It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

  1. This is the male Malkoha. The colour of the bird in the photo #3 looks different from the rest. I think it's theissue with the white balance.try adjusting the Recovery whenever there's too much highlight or backlighting esp in photo #4.
Crop : try using 5x7 or original proportion.
